50T PA Series Pressure Compensated Vane Pump For Crawler Excavator
Crawler excavators operate in harsh environments such as construction sites and mines, where the hydraulic system needs to drive multiple actuators like the boom, arm, and bucket simultaneously. Fluctuations in load-such as when digging hard rock or lifting heavy materials-can cause pressure spikes or drops, affecting operation stability. The 50T PA Series Pressure Compensated Vane Pump is designed to solve this problem, serving as a "pressure stabilizer" for crawler excavator hydraulic systems. As a professional pressure compensated vane pump, it can automatically adjust flow output according to system pressure: when the excavator's bucket encounters resistance, it reduces flow to maintain stable pressure; when the load decreases, it increases flow to improve operation efficiency.
The 50t pa pump is tailored to the 50-ton class crawler excavator's power needs. Its displacement and pressure parameters (rated pressure 16 MPa, maximum pressure 21 MPa) perfectly match the hydraulic system specifications of 50-ton excavators, ensuring sufficient power for heavy-duty operations. The 50t pa pump also adopts a compact structure, which can be directly installed in the limited space of the excavator's engine compartment, reducing the difficulty of system integration.
The 50t pa pump stands out in excavator applications with its pressure compensated vane pump technology. The pressure compensation mechanism built into the pump can monitor system pressure in real time and adjust the vane stroke through a feedback device. When the excavator is digging soft soil (low load), the pump increases flow to speed up the bucket's action; when encountering hard rock (high load), it reduces flow to keep pressure stable, avoiding overload damage to hydraulic components. This dynamic adjustment not only protects the system but also reduces energy consumption by 15% compared to fixed-displacement pumps.
Another key advantage of the pressure compensated vane pump is its high volumetric efficiency. The 50T PA Series uses precision-machined vanes and a wear-resistant pump core, with the fit clearance between vanes and the pump body controlled within 0.003mm. This minimizes internal leakage, ensuring that over 92% of the input power is converted into effective hydraulic energy. The 50t pa pump also has strong anti-pollution ability: its built-in filter screen can block impurities in hydraulic oil, reducing wear caused by particles and extending the service life to over 8,000 hours.
- The pressure compensated vane pump structure of the 50t pa pump is equipped with a sensitive pressure sensor. When the excavator's arm lifts heavy materials, the sensor triggers flow adjustment within 0.3 seconds, maintaining pressure stability and preventing the arm from dropping due to pressure loss.
- Heavy-Duty Adaptability: The pump body of the 50t pa pump is made of high-strength cast iron, which can withstand the vibration and impact of crawler excavators during driving and operation. Its vane is made of alloy steel with a wear-resistant coating, ensuring reliable operation even in high-temperature environments (up to 100℃).
- Multi-Actuator Coordination: As a pressure compensated vane pump, it can distribute flow reasonably when the excavator's boom, arm, and bucket act simultaneously. For example, when the boom is lifting and the bucket is digging at the same time, it prioritizes supplying flow to the high-load component, ensuring smooth operation of both actions.
- The 50t pa pump adopts a modular design. Key components such as the pressure compensation valve and vane can be replaced independently, reducing maintenance time by 30% and minimizing excavator downtime.

To protect your rights please read the following carefully Pump Start-up Procedure Preparation Prior to Start-up The reservoir and circuit should be clean and free of dirt and debris prior to filling with fluid. Circuit Cleanup The reservoir should be charged with filtered hydraulic fluid. The fluid level should be sufficient to prevent vortexing at the suction connection to the pump inlet. It is good practice to clean the system by flushing and filtering, using an external slave pump. Filling Pump and Removing Air If the pump is mounted above the fluid level, it should be filled with fluid through the outlet port. If the pump is mounted below the fluid level, the pump outlet fitting (or other downstream fitting or plug) can be loosened to allow fluid to displace the air. It may be necessary to loosen the fill cap on the reservoir to allow the fluid to flow freely. When a solid stream of fluid with no observed air begins to drain through the loosened fitting, the fitting should be retightened. An air bleed valve in the outlet circuit is also recommended to remove trapped air. If such a device is used, the pump should be filled with fluid before start-up. In some cases, it may be possible to prime the pump by running the engine starter for five to ten seconds with the throttle and/or ignition switch in the "off" position. It will be necessary to loosen a fitting or plug in the pump outlet to allow air to escape. Pump Start-up All controls should be placed in the neutral position so the pump is unloaded when started. Start the engine and run at low idle. Once the pump is started, it should prime and pump within a few seconds. If it does not, make sure there are no restrictions between the reservoir and the inlet to the pump, and that there are no air leaks in the inlet line and connections. Also, make sure that trapped air can escape from the outlet. Run at low engine idle for approximately five minutes. Then, while observing the reservoir fluid level, operate the implements. Extend all actuators to maximum safe limits to completely fill the system with fluid. Do not run with the fluid level below the "low" limit. Add fluid to the reservoir to bring the fluid to the proper fill level.
